For Crying Out Loud...It's Santa!

Given his previous visits with the Easter Bunny and the Chick-Fil-A cow, we didn't have high hopes for Brady's visit with Santa Claus this year. We went to see him at our neighborhood's clubhouse, so at least the traumatic experience didn't cost us anything. ;p

Despite all our prep work, talking up Santa, and bringing SnuggleTime, one of Brady's favorite teddy bears along, he just did not show any Christmas joy to the man in the big red suit. Brett said he could tell things weren't going to go well when Brady started crying as he watched other kids with Jolly Ole' St. Nick. haha! He cried in anticipation when we were next in line.

He pulled it together for a short bit, but as I carried him over to Santa so Daddy and our HOA Technology Committee could take the picture, the horrified shrieks began again.

But quite literally as soon as I stood up and we were done, he stopped crying, and said "Thank you" as he accepted a coloring book. If you ask him about it, he'll tell you how he cried when he saw Santa. He does love seeing pictures of Santa and keeps saying, "Santa coming on Christmas." Good thing you don't actually see Santa on Christmas. :)
