Filling His Father's Shoes

Well, not quite...but he sure does love walking around in them! Brady is always putting on our shoes and happily clod-hopping around the house. What a goober!

Hangin' With His Boys

My MNO (Mom's Night Out) girls and I decided to share one of our get-togethers with our boys. Jenny had us all over for a playdate and dinner tonight. It's always fun for all of us girls to get together. This time our big boys and our little boys got to hang out too. Kellan is exactly 1 month older than Brady. Oliver is exactly 1 day older (yes, we were in the hospital at the same time!). Wyatt is just 3 months younger. I didn't get many good pictures...but that's how it goes with 4 active boys and moms who are friends and having a good time chatting.

Yummy! Delicious bbq- thanks Ms. Jenny and Mr. Sean! This was also Brady's first time having corn on the cob. He saw his buddies chowing away and pointed to the cobs saying, "Want Dat!" He had a blast!

Running Errands...literally

First stop- car dealership to drop off Daddy's car for some recalls. Brady occupied himself by mapping out our route. It was exhausting work.

Then we ran our other errands. Brady took this quite literally. He ran up and down the aisles of the various stores we were in. The carpet store was super fun because it was relatively small, safe, and with Lots of neat things to touch. Oh, and the carpet squares make awesome "houses." I wasn't entirely sure of what I was taking a picture of because the screen on our camera broke earlier in the day. But the pictures do somewhat reflect the glee this boy was experiencing.

While Brett looked at cameras in Best Buy, I distracted Brady from grabbing all the camera boxes off the shelves by allowing (and in fact encouraging) him to press all the buttons on the appliances...something we ask him Not to do at home. He was giddy! Then of course, he had to go look at the big screens with Daddy. It's a guy thing.

When we got home, we sat in the car in the driveway while we talked to Grandma and Papa on the phone. We had the loaner car from the dealership and Brady wanted to see what all the buttons did.
Oh cool! These open the roof up! :)

Leash Law

What's wrong with these pictures? Well the Luhrings appear to be applying the county's leash law appropriately for their 19 month old toddler...but not their dog! LOL! This picture doesn't do the scene justice. Brady Loves his monkey harness...to play with, not to wear as a leash. This morning he asked me to put it on as I was about to let Romey outside to go potty. We wound up walking down the sidewalk and I was sure it was a comedic scene- Romey leading the pack a few steps in front of us, Brady running after him, and me holding on to Brady's "leash." I was cracking myself up and finally decided to take a picture when Brett came out. But by then, Romey had run off in to the grass and Brady was really tiring of the leash. It was an amusing moment though and I wanted to remember it. ;p

Extended Play

We spent the night in Richmond and got some more play time in on Sunday morning. Note how Brady is still clutching his "cub" in the outside pictures...he sure does love his new toy! (Dank doo Deep!) The only reason you don't see it in the inside pictures is that we wouldn't allow him to have it as we tried to teach that "gawf" is an outdoor sport. You can still see him clutching the golf ball in some of the inside pictures though. ;)

Forget car seats! The best way to stow your toddler while traveling is a dog crate. Brady still loves getting in to Romey's house.
"Come on buddy...you have the keys!
Bust me outta here!"

The Richmond Open

We suffered the 1-95 traffic and headed to Richmond this weekend for a giant playdate- mostly for the daddies, but also for the mommies and the tots. The Abrahams hosted the annual fantasy football league party and brought us all together for some good times!

"Uncle-of-the-Year" Pradeep bought all the boys a set of golf clubs and the Richmond Open provided quality entertainment for the players and the spectators. Brady cannot get enough "gawf!" and "cubs!" I think he would sleep with his "cubs" if we let him. As Brady says, "Dank doo Deep!"
How stinkin' cute are those little golf bags???
(and the little golfers too!)

Team Oreo Generation 2

Of course, we attempted a picture of all the wee ones. ha! The only thing that kept Brady sitting on the couch was the golf ball he's holding.

We all love this one with Eashan showing us his abs while his hand rests on Maya's leg and Maya has her hand on Brady's leg. But Brady's too busy giving Avi the "Whatchoodoin?" face to notice while Avi drinks from his toddler coffee cup. Hilarious!
E= done. Maya and Brady= still content with their golf balls. Avi= sip, Ah!
Brady now gives the "Whatchoodoin?" face to E while Avi still sips away.
One of the funniest pictures that came out of this shoot was the one Brett took of the mama and papa-razzi trying to get their kids to smile. LOL!

Dinner Poolside

Every day Brady asks to go outside and I always feel like it is so hot. Today I picked him up from daycare with a bag packed for the pool. What an awesome and happy way to spend the evening! We played in the water and that took care of my "it's too hot" feeling. I couldn't get any pictures because we were both in the pool. Brady Loved jumping in. At first it freaked me out, but he kept asking "Jump? Jump?" and it was fun catching the little butterball!

Brady highjacked some kid's private swimming lesson. This boy (who was probably about 3) and his instructor were in the beach-entry part of the pool and the instructor was laying down and trying to get the boy to kick. Brady Loves "swimming" on his belly in the bathtub. So he laid down next to the lady and kicked away laughing. She was cracking up and said to her student, "Look- this little boy can do it. Can you do that?" We also played with the random pool toys other kids had brought and/or left there, including a paintbrush and bucket- which kept our little helper busy for some time.

We even had dinner poolside (although I don't think we were supposed to be eating on the pool deck- shh!) while the lifeguards went on break and cleared the pool for the last 10 minutes of each hour. Swimming sure does work up an appetite! :) And since there was no mess to worry about cleaning up, little man drank milk from his sippy cup sans lid. He loves to do this and think he's all big. I usually only allow it with water though because he spills. But today- we're at the pool and you're half naked anyway. Go for it dude! Give yourself a milk mustache! It was a perfect evening- so easy, so fun! Gotta love it!
