Happy New Year 2013!

Apparently, I was too busy eating, chatting, and having a great time with friends at the Ehlerts on NYE to take more than one picture!  The kids were having their own good times and again made it all the way to the ball drop.  Happy new year!

Holiday Family Time

The Abrahams came over for a visit today.  Love catching up with Sat and allowing the little peeps to play together.  Thanks for making some more "family time" fit in your holiday schedule Abes!  Love you all!

Happy New Year with Old Clothes

This was going to be Sylvie's Christmas outfit this year (but then we never made it out of jammies, ha!).  We've had this hand-me-down outfit for almost three years.  As an 11-month old, she wore the top as a dress, and now as a 3T wearer, she's working the whole outfit.  Love things like this!

Loads and Loads of Fun!

Of all the bells and whistles associated with our new washer/dryer, hands down the best feature is the ability to watch your stuffies enjoy their roller coaster ride bath.

You Had Me at "Let's Go..."

In the spirit of the Russel Athletic Bowl Game that the Hokies are playing in tonight, I was reminded of this story that happened a few weeks ago.  Sylvie and I were headed out of the house and (per usual) she was taking forever to put her boots on.  I said, "Sylvie! Let's Go!!!" and she stops, jumps up with her hands in the air and says, "Hokies!"  omg, I laughed so hard and then even harder at her proud face.  The girl's never even been to a Hokie game, but she sure does listen to her brother and Daddy! ;p  Let's Go Hokies!!!

She's Inline

Brady picked out practice inline skates for Sylvie for Christmas.  She tried them out for the first time today and had a blast (and of course, really loved the fact that they are pink)!

Inaugural Frosty

It snowed a bit more today...enough to play outside (and meet some more neighbors- yay!) and make a snowman!  Here's our first Resident Frosty @ 42690!

Merry Christmas 2012!

Santa (and Mommy/Daddy and Mimi and Grandma/Papa and Aiyee and Great Aunt Mar) arrived just before midnight {we were actually sort of on the ball this year!}.  :)
Reading Santa's thank you note...as Sylvie wonders why he only took bites from the cookies instead of eating the whole cookie (she's appalled at the thought of leaving a sweet- ha!)
All Brady Ever wants to wear is a sports jersey...he was quite pleased with this one Mimi gave him and thought Sylvie's Redskins one was pretty cool too.  (She just like her "pink shirt.") ;p
(Per usual) Mimi was spot on with her clothes selections this year.  Brady also Loved the thick sweatshirt she got for him.  Here he's modeling almost All of his new clothes- tops from Mimi and the bottoms (sports pants- his other fav and new snow boots) from Mommy and Daddy.
"sticky" football gloves...another fav...he wears them EVERY day inside and outside!
Grandma and Papa got Sylvie the classic Tinker Toys...in pink!
Nutella snack break...thoroughly enjoyed by this one who looks like a kitty cat!
I really didn't take many pictures this year.  I've given up on a family picture on Christmas. ha.  The kids stay in their jammies all day.  We wear jeans...no one's really dressed up and "formal-Christmas-picture-worthy."  But the candids are fun!  It just may mean that I'm never in any pictures since I'm the one taking them! :p  Anyway, it was a fun day...and marks the end of another whirlwind holiday (birthday/Christmas) season.  whew. I'm wiped out!  Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!!!

'Twas The Night Before Christmas 2012

Tonight they opened their Christmas Eve gift...the traditional pjs.  Sylvie already has a bunch of super cute hand-me-down jammies, so she got a plush little girlie robe.  Brady used to not ever wear jammies, but in our new house he does more so now (we keep it cooler here).
Bath, then new jammies, and a final farewell to our scout elf since he's hitching a ride back to the North Pole with Santa tonight!  Do you see him up there on the tree holding part of Brady's favorite (superhero lunchbox) ornament?
Bye Gingerbear! See you next year!
He insisted on wearing his bathrobe too. Handsome little man.
Selecting their cookies for the big man...then leaving a plateful of cookies for Santa and vegetables for the reindeer.

Making Cookies for Santa

A few sugar cookies for Santa (and Sylvie and Brady)
and continuing the gingerbread tradition with gingerbread men pops this year!  These weren't just cute though, they were also Deee-lish!!!

A White Christmas?

Flurries on Christmas Eve!!!  Brady and I ran outside for some snow-catching fun!  (Sylvie would have been with us had she not been throwing another epic tantrum in the house resulting from our disagreement over which jacket was appropriate. ha!)
