Celebrating 100 Days of School!

Ready for school (with his "password" on)- His teacher says the password to get in to the classroom today is your 100-day shirt. He goes, "Mommy, where's your password?" Dude, I've got Mill Run spirit! Triple digit days in school, here we come!
100 Day Celebration!
The kids had a fashion show and got to walk (or crawl with a friend, as was the case with Brady!) the red carpet. If only my camera wasn't still broken. sigh.

100 Year Old Brady and Sylvie

We also had fun checking out what our 100-day kindergartener would look like as a 100-year old (and of course lil' sis joined in too...she might as well be in kg herself). I laughed so hard my face hurt (and no doubt added many more laugh lines to my own face!)!  We used the Aging Booth app.   Oddly enough it didn't work very well with adult faces. When I tried it, it didn't make my hair grey. Brady goes, "Maybe that's b/c you're already old." ha!

He very well may still be making these faces in 94 years, when he's 100 years old.
Seriously, she might as well be in kg...Brady's teacher says she is full of confidence and so ready for kindergarten. (Yes, Sylvie has regular interaction with her brother's teacher b/c we walk to school together every day and b/c she comes with me when I volunteer there. Just as she followed in Brady's footsteps for preschool...before blazing her own trail, Sister is Ready, for sure!)

100 Days of Kindergarten

We Finally made it to 100 Days of School (today)! Brady's class celebrates tomorrow. kg homework was to work together and create a shirt with 100 things. I'm honestly not sure who is more excited about this project- me or Brady! SO SO SO fun!!!!
I warned him that if he insisted on drawing faces on the clone troopers, he would have to do it 100 times. He was happy to do so.  This is one kg boy who loves him some Star Wars!
I stamped one of his Lego dudes 100 times and then he used his fingerprint to give each of them a personalized head. Concept of 100- yeah, we got that. The back came with help from Ms. Tina, who did this OA's Cricut. way cool!  So in addition to visualizing the concept of "100," we also discussed opposites and parodies- HA!

Dress and Boots

I'm headed in to the office today (one of the two times I go in) and am actually dressed.  The little miss and I are both in dresses and boots today- fun!

Pirates and Princess Show

We took the "royalty-in-training"/"puny pirates" to Disney Junior's Sophia the First/Jack and the Never Land Pirates show today.  We do love a good show!
 Pirate's Booty, of course!

The nap-deprived pirate princess had an epic tantrum the Entire drive home because she "didn't like the song on the radio;" because Brady was "looking at me;" because she was "not {repeat} NOT tired!!!!"  She even sobbed a few times in her sleep as she finally succumbed to the exhaustion (but would wake up at stop lights and be just as angry- lol!)  She was beyond exhausted...and so were we!

Star Friends

Bella is Star of the Week in her class and asked if Sylvie would join her for a special lunch @ Mill Run.  I picked her up from OA and she had some super fun girl time with Joy and Bella.
Joy updated me via Facebook- Love it!
Oh my goodness. That girl is good for the soul. Sylvie Rae is just what we needed. Back safe and sound! Thanks for the girls lunch date!!!

Love KG Parties!

We're finally back in school (even if we do have a 2-hour delay) and it's party day! We crammed a lot of fun in to this shortened kg time.  We made Busy Bee valentine boxes, all sorts of fun handprint and Love crafts, played tic-tac-toe and toss the mail game, and ate some Lovely snacks! :)

Valentine's Day Redux

Some rare moments when they actually do this on their own...must be Valentine's Day that brings it out in them. They were nice like this last year too. Hmm, maybe I should dress them in red/pink/hearts daily and tell them it's Val Day every day!

 LOVEly Day
It's getting a little ridiculous that I can Only get a "good" picture if I promise them that afterward they can be spazzes for the timer shots.
But it works...they're happy and I'm happy. So whatev
One day they will look at these pictures and be like, "what was Wrong with us?!" But for now, they giggle while posing and then get to hysterics while reviewing them and going, "yeah, that's a good one!"

Miss Nelson is Missing

Interesting, the live production was not as good as the book, but still entertaining!

Our "good" camera is still broken, but I still captured some fun on the old mini camera.
