Michelle's 40th Birthday

Today we went over to the Breens' house for a surprise 40th birthday luncheon for Auntie Michelle. We attempted a family picture before we left because I loved Brady's little outfit. But he insisted on holding one of our Christmas decorations...and it covered up his cute sweater vest and khakis entirely.

Good thing Auntie Cristi's party paparazzi took a bunch of pictures. Of course, they were after Brady was all flushed with warmth and excitement. He did not nap at all today. We brought the pack-n-play and set him up in the master bedroom. For 90 minutes he sat playing nicely with his blanket and talking to Elephant. Despite heavy eyelids, no napping though. I think this was the first day Brady's ever not had a nap (he's still doing 2.5-3 hours daily). It was also the first time he had some Delicious desserts prepared by Cristi. Yumm! Brady and Daddy really enjoyed the chocolate cheesecakes on a stick. Brady and I really enjoyed the angel food cake + peppermint ice cream (the Birthday Girl's fav). SOOO good! His sugar high lasted for a bit before the rebound and lack of nap kicked in...and the little boy was sound asleep at the table (during round 2 of our feast) at 5:30!

Brady finally got to meet Kaitlyn. Her mommy Lauren and I are due about 2 weeks apart. The party paparazzi captured the meeting of the kids and the bellies. :)
