It's Sommer Time Again!

Hard to believe it's been almost a year since we've seen the Sommers. But like good friends do, we just picked right back up where we left off and had a great time playing and hanging out for Riley's birthday!
When in Rome (or in a house with 2 girls), do as the Romans (or girls) do...and ride the pink/purple ATV. haha!

How cute are they checking out the pond in the backyard?

Still adorable- despite the crazy "I've-been-jumping-in-the-moonbounce-so-my-clip-slid-down- and-I-have-grass-in-my-hair" do she's rockin' here.

She was Squealing with delight as he pushed her higher and higher. It was So cute to watch!

Mark and Brett were playing various games of ultimate challenge accuracy (which they made up- like how many footballs can you throw in to the kids' trampoline from 20 yards away or another where Brett had to time his football throw perfectly in order to hit a moving target- Jocelyn's bouncy ball which Mark was throwing straight up in the air). It was amusing for us all...and Daddy's still got it- woot woot!

31 Flavors for 31 Cents

Thank you to our sweet neighbors for stopping by (soaking wet!) to let us know that the Baskin Robbins up the street was offering scoops of ice cream for 31 cents tonight! It was yummy...and we all ate ice cream for $1.25 TOTAL! :)

There was a long line, but our daycare-clothed kids with their rain boots did just fine waiting in it. Terrible picts- boo! But it was still a fun time!

This was Sylvie's first time having ice cream (she actually had rainbow sherbet). No surprise that she Loved it. Brady is always a riot to look at with his chocolate cone. :p SO fun!

Happy Easter!

Cutie little plaid kids...who wouldn't pose together for an Easter morning picture. oh well! They turned to look at me as we were going downstairs this morning...I take what I can get! :)

There were mini blueberry muffins inside Brady's "breakfast Easter eggs" and raisins inside Sylvie's...treats they both love!

Here's their loot. They got literal Easter baskets this year. Well, an Easter (shopping) basket and an Easter stroller- ha! They were hand-me-downs from friends, but new toys for us. Brady got a Leapfrog grocery cart and Sylvie got a stroller for outdoor use. They each also got a Zoobie- the stuffed animal that's a pillow and also a blanket. A pink hippo for Sylvie and a blue elephant for Brady. Brady got some more Tonka construction vehicles (50 cents steals found at consignment sales!), a Spiderman shirt, and a HOKIE helmet! They got a big green ball for outside, some Easter egg chalk, and bunny ears. Thanks Easter Bunny, bok bok ! :)

Neither was too hip on the bunny ears...

...so I wore them instead- ha!
(see my bunny ears' shadow taking the picture?)
At least Brady's cooperating in the one of the three of us....sigh.

Heisman!

We did the Easter egg hunt in stages b/c all of it was overwhelming. Brady was excited and cute. Sylvie tagged along and was also cute. She was just in it for the treats that big bro shared with her. so sweet.

Coloring and decorating Easter eggs-

Sylvie was just sort of doing her own thing (and relaxing maybe?) while we were decorating the eggs. haha! Cute shot of her bloomers, eh?

Sylvie's nap was longer than Brady's today so we used the time to give him a haircut. We told him if he sat nicely for Daddy during the haircut, that he could have water balloons and play with the hose. They sort of look like Easter eggs, don't they?
Later on, Grandma and Papa came over for dinner and there was more basket fun!
