Piranhas Practice

This year we signed Brady up for the Broadlands swim team, the Piranhas.  Today the daily practices started.  Parents aren't allowed to hover, so no great picts, but I wanted it documented- he started today!

Annual Strawberry Pilgrimage

We did our annual strawberry picking today.  Brett had to work :( and Grandma already had tennis plans, so for the first time it was just me and the kids (and our friends).  :)  Per usual, it was fun...and yummy!
 oh, I love him.

Happy Memorial Day 2014!

Patio Pals

They asked to eat dinner on the patio tonight.  I gave them their plates and thought they'd be at the bar eating.  Then I looked outside and saw this and it squeezed my heart.

Friday Date

Brady has been asking me to allow him to get off the (AM kg) bus at our house all year long.  He's only done it a handful of times (for example, Veterans Day or when we are away and the grands are sitting for them).  I realized the school year is almost over, and that I was running out of opportunities to do this.  The weather is fantastic...it's a great day for a surprise!!!  He didn't know until he saw me at the bus stop and Mr. Bob said, "Yes, it's okay for you to get off the bus here.  You have Mommy's permission to do so."  We took selfies to document our date-
He picked Subway sandwiches for lunch, of course!  (and we used the cards that we bought from a school fundraiser...good deal all around!)
We went to the place where Brady takes golf lessons and played putt-putt.  The kid is hilarious.  With a completely straight face and totally non-maliciously, he said, "Don't worry Mommy.  I won't laugh when (he said When, not If!) you get over a '5' on a hole."
Throughout the game he gave me tips-
"Mommy, line up your shot with your putter."  "Mommy plant your feet and don't move."  "Mommy, look at where you want the ball to be.  You gotta aim."  "Don't hit too hard."  "Aim for the rock there."
Oh, I heeded his advice...and then got super lucky!  Yeah dude- Hole In ONE!
It was even a good math exercise.  The kg kid did all the addition.
What a great day!  What a great kid!  Love you little b!!!
