"Kinda Tired"

We went swimming across the street at the Kosins' pool today.  Sylvie drank too much water and her tummy hurt, so we came home.  She's exhausted and passed out on the couch. :)  so sweet!

Lake Anna Sleepover

We went to the Pauleys' lake house this weekend...for a sleepover.  Double OMG!  Kids were SO excited to be going to the lake, and thought we were day-tripping like we'd done previously.  They completely lost their minds when we told them we were having a sleepover!  Yet again, it was SO.MUCH.FUN!!!

How did I get so lucky with this crew?

Brett's thrill-seeking (roller coaster-loving) little girl squealed with delight as we rode the Great Big Mable across the wake of Chad's speed boat and kept screaming, "Faster!"  Yup, she's her Daddy's girl, for sure!

Brett wake-boarded for the first time.  He continues to impress me.  He's so athletic and I knew he'd pick it right up...and sure enough just three starts and coaching from Chad, then BOOM!  He was up shredding Lake Anna!

This is what squeezes my heart.  Again, no picts of the race (I think we videoed it though).  But I still get the same feeling in my heart when I look at his picture, waiting for his heat to begin.  Reminder to self- bring the longer lens! ;p

First "Real" Swim Meet

First "real" meet; Wednesday night; away meet- @ Stone Ridge; and Brady's scheduled for a relay (b/c they have an eight-lane pool).  Here we go!

 

Seems that's all the picts I have.  I was too busy cheering...which I do while choking back tears.  I'm not sure why I'm so emotional to watch this sweet boy swim.  Maybe b/c it's the first athletic activity I've seen him have to work at.  He holds on to the lane lines during his 25M freestyle.  (He says the pools are "too big. :)  But he makes it across the pool and we cheer for him the whole way.  He cruises in his backstroke.  Tonight, we waited around for him to do the relay (night swimming @ 9:30 PM!).  It was a bit chaotic and swim meets take some getting used to...with all the waiting around and then heart bursting excitement for 40 seconds!  Love you, little fish!

Preschool Accessories

She insisted on wearing the macaroni necklace she made in school yesterday, and actually it looked really cute with her outfit.  Just the right splash of color! :)  The doll and Brett's giant coffee mug were also her idea, but not as coordinating. ;p

First Field Trip @ Summer Camp

They're off on their first field trip with camp.  In celebration of the "Italy" theme of the passport summer camp, they're going Bertucci's for lunch.  Here they are @ the pool after swim lesson this morning-
