First Sleepover

Brady has had Colton and Jerel sleepover our house several times, and he and Sylvie have sleepovers in each other's rooms every night, but he's never gone on a sleepover, until tonight!  He went over to Jerel's and could not have been more excited for this.  SO awesome!
Drop-off: Bye Buddy! Be good!
Susan texted me updates, which I loved!

Sylvie realized that "Brady havin' a sleepover with his best friend and Daddy havin' a sleepover with his friend."  I didn't want her to feel left out so I told her we could have a girls' sleepover in my room.  She was very excited for this, but passed out by 8 PM b/c she hadn't napped today.  I texted Brett a pict of the Littlest Luhring sleeping and said, "I do miss you, but Sylvie's got your sleeping (with 1,000 pillows) down pat, so it's almost as if you're right here. ha!"

A BOWL Lot of Fun!

We met Jerel and Ms. Susan at King Pinz this evening and had a bowl lot of fun!  Put your feet up and make yourself at home, Brady; nice shoes! ;p
The VT game was on the big screen. Brady could not be more pleased.
Sylvie was the cutest, most excited bowler.  She'd launch her ball down the ramp and then jump up and down cheering it on.  So cute!
After bowling, we played some arcade games.  Susan won Sylvie not one, but Two stuffies from "The Claw!" game. Amazing!  I have never seen this happen; and certainly not two times in.a.row!!!
Here our bowlers and gamers are showing us their prizes.

Hokie Season Begins

And just like that it's the start of football season and Brett's off to ATL to watch the game against Alabama...go Hokies!

Kindergartener! In the House!!!

After kindergarten orientation (for parents) this AM, we attended open house this afternoon.  Brady got to see his new classroom, meet his teacher and some new friends, and snag some spirit-wear.  Let's do this!!
Here B is finding his cubby and then reviewing the "kindergarten care package" Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. Colicci prepared for him-
Allie is in his class- yay!  Sorting school supplies-

Brady and Daddy reviewing the behavior chart and
Brady and Nate (our neighbor and new kg pal) chatting-
Brady and Mrs. Holmes...she seems Terrific!!
Spirit-wear!  Kindercub of the Mill Run Mountain Lions!

iPicts

Took these on my phone b/c the kids were just too cute.  We went to Meadows Farm nursery today to purchase some ornamental grasses to plant near the patio.  It was a little rainy; so we brought boots and 'brellas...and they had a blast!
They wanted to love these "TLC" plants (on 75% off clearance) and make our home theirs.  They were so cute (and the plants were $2) that we couldn't say no.  They are so proud. :)

Book Character Day

Dress Up as a Book Character Day at school. Brady's inspiration was his "Construction Worker" book. Sylvie's inspiration was "MooBaaLaLaLa." (Although honestly sister doesn't need it to be Spirit Week at school to be inspired to wear this {size: 18 MONTHS!!!} cow costume that she loves so much.)

Wacky Tacky and Crazy Hat Dat

Today begins Spirit Week @ Open Arms.  This morning Sylvie followed her classroom "Wacky Tacky Day" and Brady did "Crazy Hat Day." Pure coincidence that his circus hat was way big and he had a Cookie Monster face shirt on...made for some serious giggles for us. ;p

U-Pick and Play

Checking off another item on our Summer Fun List, we went fruit picking today.  We got some apples and peaches, and lots of blackberries and cute picts of our picks! ;p
Brett makes fun of me for my "back pictures" but I was walking behind them and SO.SWEET.
