Haulin'

 Found this in Papa's picts...

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

The Bunny arrived again in our neighborhood for the annual egg hunt. I just looked at last year's pictures. My goodness, where have my babies gone?! :( This year's event was even more fun b/c we met up with friends. Colton slept over last night and then we met Haylie and Evan, Carter, and Colin there too. Uh, too bad I didn't realize until about 10 pictures in that I was on manual focus. Doh. Not paying attention results in a few blurry picts. :(
This year we came up on the tunnel from the other side.

Haylie and Evan ran up to meet their pals. Haylie hugged the bunny and then we got a group shot. I didn't actually notice the "Bunny Grope" (as Evan's mom, Kristin, called it- lol!) until I downloaded the picts. hilarious!

Starting line-up. It was a weird kind of bright outside; hence the squinty faces.

You can tell Brett took these...b/c they're artistically awesome! :)

Egg launching and running up and down the hill were popular events today too.

Heroes All Around

Our buddy Colton is sleeping over tonight and came prepared with his backpack stocked with the necessities...you know, toothbrush, pjs, hockey masks, sword, sticker book, etc. He's awesome. :)
Who are these masked kids?

Oh, these cuties!

Change of scenery for our heroes: the basement castle. The gallant knights of the castle notice a damsel in distress (evidenced by her face and her wailing, "I need help Boys!!!" It was hilarious!) Her problem? "I cannot climb up with my blanket and dollie and dollie milk."

A-B-Sylvie

Ms. Omayma took this video of Sylvie at daycare today and sent it to me. She took this video on her phone so it's turned sideways. But our movie-editing program would not recognize the .wmv file for some reason so I couldn't rotate it. Sigh. But turning your head sideways to view the video does the trick- ha!

So many people have told me I need to record Sylvie talking b/c she has the cutest voice. She really does...so this is a start. Thanks Ms. Omayma!

Randomly On the Road to Richmond

We're hanging around the house yesterday morning and Brett's sitting at the computer doing our taxes. He says, "Hey, do we have any plans tomorrow?" I said, "No." "Okay, do you want to go see the Abrahams in Richmond?" "Yes! But we can't just drop in on them." "I'm IM-ing with Vik right now. He says it's cool. Actually, how about we leave after naps today and stay overnight?" "Uh, are you SURE it's okay? I realize you are talking to Vik, but what does SAT say??" "Vik says she says fine, come on down." :) Yippee! So off we went to visit some of our favorite friends. What a super fun visit that was just so good for our souls! We do love the Abrahams! I almost forgot to take pictures...until the boys were playing cul de sac sports this morning.

Love the tot squat. And of course there were Hokie worms outside the Abrahams house. Seriously the worms were a sort of Chicago Maroon color with a Burnt Orange band around them. Most apropos!

Down, set, hut!
Executing the play. Note that Navi was engaged in his own game- pushing the ball bin around. He was the zamboni of this sports arena.

My favs-

Love the hands-on-hips

Hand-off to E

We got on the road after lunch, but not before the two-year-olds said their good-byes. Yes, we are aware of this fact that someone pointed out via comment on Sat's Facebook post of this picture-
"Has anyone warned Sylvie's parents that the Abraham boys are genetically predisposed to eventually marry the girls they kiss at a young age?" lol!

And Then There Were Three

We took Colton home with us today. The boys were eating their special treats they made in school (graham crackers with Twizzler crosses) and Sylvie was having her own special lollipop treat. They looked so.stinkin.cute. sitting all together on the stoop.

I love having the three of them...it makes me consider adding another child to our family. But then I realize a part of what I love about this trio is that Brady and Colton are the exact same age. I suppose we could adopt and attempt to re-create this perfect scenario. But then I realize an even Larger part of what I LOVE about this trio is that the boys are best friends...so really my only solution is to adopt Colton. ha! Despite the fact that their hands are full with the 6-week-old twins, Melissa and Chad won't go for that though. :p So we'll just bring our third child (Colton) home with us as many days as we can!

Pretty

Uncle Sam wants YOU to smile nicely for the camera!
(This must have been another of my attempts to avoid the "cheeese!" face. I must have told her to say or do something that resulted in this...)

Oh wait, I remember now. I was trying to avoid This face (below). She's pouting b/c she wanted a skirt over her "tights" as she called them. I told her the pretty pants were not tights, but she was insisting on a skirt.

New approach: "Ta daa!!"

There we go...pretty girl!

And here's pretty girl eating her breakfast...in her own style, which she apparently adopted from Romey- b/c she's avoiding the toast and just licking off the cream cheese like a dog. Table manners are still a work in progress for this little lady.
