Happy Birthday Sylvie! What a great start sweet Sylvie has had! She's spent most of this past month sleeping (yay!). We're starting to see her have a little more awake time recently. When she is fussy, she can usually be soothed by rocking/dancing to (pretty loud) music. It must have been all those dance parties Brady hosted while she was in utero. I read somewhere that babies may find comfort in familiar songs that they heard in utero. Sylvie's audio stimulation was governed by her big bro. Perhaps that is why she too has taken a liking to Pokerface, Footloose, I Gotta Feelin' and 5 Little Monkeys Jumpin' On the Bed. lol!
I've been feeding Sylvie on demand and that works out to every 2-4 hours. She usually has two 4 hour stretches- one during the day and one at night. We were worried a little about acid reflux because she frequently spits up after she eats. The doctor says based on what we report (a couple of Crazy projectiles, but more consistently "a little spittle" as I say, which is about a teaspoon or so) and on her consistently good weight gain, it doesn't seem to be too much of a problem. But we keep her inclined pretty much all the time- in her swing, bouncy chair, or hanging out on us in order to aid her digestion.
Sylvie makes the most fun sounds! Sometimes it's this cute little squeak. Sometimes it's a girly grunt. Sometimes it's a pink tera dactyl (okay, that one's not so fun). Many times it's an adorable snort. She keeps us giggling.
Life is sweet with you Sylvie girl.
