Her Sweet Sylvie Self
We were a little worried on Tuesday night that the peaceful bliss we've been experiencing with Sylvie was a honeymoon period and that it was coming to an end. She was more fussy than usual and really showed off her opera talent all through the night. (Grandma says that Sylvie could be an opera singer the way she holds on to one note when she is really upset. It's her "pink tera dactyl" and if it weren't for the fact that she was upset, it would be sort of comical and cute.) Anyway, so she was up and crying a lot, couldn't seem to get comfortable- so we couldn't get comfortable and we were Tired. We realized that the night was actually more typical of life with a newborn, but we've gotten used to sweet Sylvie spoiling us. As it turns out, I think it was something I ate that caused her to have more gassy bubbles than usual and they were unsettling.
Thank goodness- it now seems our sweet baby has returned and the past two days have been like this again:

Love the newborn goalpost sleep position, too. Hope that the bliss continues :)
