"Chicks Dig Me"

I had intended for this funny shirt to be worn yesterday to the spring festival that Brady was going to attend as Maya's guest. But we got rained out, so this became his official Easter outfit. Nice. :) It was still appropriate given the theme of Brady's Easter treats this year- spring time tools. Since he really doesn't understand Easter just yet, but does have a love of Daddy's spring time tools, Brady got a lawn mover (that blows bubbles), a rake, and a shovel this year. Yup, chicks dig him and he digs dirt. :p

This morning, we did an Easter egg hunt...or rather an Easter egg pick up, since all we did was scatter the eggs in the tall grass before Brett mowed it. We thought Brady would really enjoy this since one of his most fun times is cleaning up his bucket of balls each night. He has a bunch of different colored balls and they are always all over the house. We tell him which colored ball to get and point to it. He runs to the ball, retrieves it, and brings it back to put it in the bucket (yes, it's like playing "fetch" with a child) until they're all cleaned up. We figured then that putting the eggs in the basket would be easy and fun for him. Well, he didn't quite get it. Oh he was excited about the "bawws!" that we kept saying "Egg!" in response to, but he didn't run around and gleefully retrieve them as he does with his bucket of balls. It went more like this- Brady holding one egg in each hand while Brett held the basket and I ran around the yard enthusiastically saying, "Awesome! I found another egg!" to show him the idea. lol! We all had fun anyway!
Infamous "baww" face on left :)

After dinner, Daddy went out to finish mowing the lawn, and Brady stood by the window watching.
"You think he needs help Mama?
I should get out there!"
Here's another of my favorites from today. This was taken right before bathtime. It's pretty clear that Brady's cutting molars again. We think he's flushed from teething and we KNOW he's drooling from teething. I mean, look at that! It goes from chin to belly...I had to take a picture!
