A Busy Day

Today Brady opened a few Easter presents from his grandparents. We've told them how much he enjoys the singing/dancing animals and they found the cutest bunny that does both. He even sings a song Brady knows- Tutti Fruitti. I sing the modified lyric "I gotta boy named Brady...he almost drives me CRAZY!" to him A LOT! :p

The grandparents were also listening when we told them Brady really enjoys drawing these days. I first used this as a distraction when I needed to be at the computer with the little wiggle worm. I gave him some paper and a pen and he was most content. He now runs in to the office and begs, "Seat?! Seat?!" for us to sit with him in the office chair while he draws. Well Grandma and Papa took that a step further and got him a giant coloring book and crayons. whoohoo! Their little Picasso grandson's new obsession is his crayons. He now shouts, "Coh-wer! Coh-wer! (color color)" and demands that someone sit with him while he scribbles.

Then he opened Easter eggs. Previously Brady just played with the eggs like toys...now, after the fun with the eggs Grandma and Papa brought, he expects something inside every time. (In fact we found a stray egg under the coffee table the other day. He grabbed it, opened it, and signed eat and said, "Cracker?" haha!) Here he is shoving the goods he found in the egg in his mouth:

Then Brady took his grandparents and his dog for a walk:

Believe it or not, this all occurred before breakfast (!), which we enjoyed @ IHOP. The three generations of Luhrings:

Following some more playing and an afternoon nap, we visited some local active adult communities to scout out a home for Grandma and Papa when they move "back east" (as Grandma says).

After having dinner of toddler tapas (read: any snacks I found in the diaper bag- Cheerios, cheese, fruit cup, and milk) in the car, the little man was exhausted and fell asleep on the ride home. Here he's utilizing his new toddler neck support with the "bow wow" and the "moo" (which he says from reading Moo, Baa, LaLaLa with Daddy each night).
