An Amusing Day

Today we took Brady to his first amusement park (after seeing the fun he had at the fair, we figured he's old enough to really enjoy it!). It was Booz Allen Family Day at Kings Dominion, meaning the park was closed for our private event and it was free admission for us all. (even Grandma and Papa since all employees were permitted one complimentary guest pass- one for me and one for Brett. Bonus that it was Grandparents Day and we got to spend the entire day with them!) For some reason, the picture we took of all four of us upon entry did not take, so we had to get one as we were leaving...and we were all tired. ;p

First stop, lunch by the fountains...

Isn't Papa brave to shoulder an ice cream-eating-toddler
on a hot day where it was melting all over the place? :)

This little girl LOVED the wind up on top of the Eiffel Tower. She was squealing with delight! She reminded me of that commercial with the little pig that goes "wee wee wee wee" all the way home. That's what she sounded like- sooooo happy! Brett took video of it, but it was with the Rebel and requires conversion- that Brett has to do. So it'll be a while before it gets posted. But it was very cute! :)

Whacking a mole...and waiting patiently in a line

On the Ferris Wheel- which Brady spotted from atop the Eiffel Tower.
He started screaming, "Daddy! There's a Ferris Wheel! I see a Ferris Wheel!"

I think Papa's picts from the merry-go-round came out better. I'll post those when I have them.
The kiddie portion of the park was So cool! It had mini versions of adult rides including a roller coaster (Brady's first one!) and the swinging boat.

I cannot believe that we didn't think to call you! Looks like Brady had as much fun as Maya did :)
