8 months old

Happy Birthday Sylvie! Our little girl's personality is continuing to develop- and she appears to love life as much as her brother does! Totally awesome! It's pretty easy to get Sylvie to smile and even belly laugh...she's ticklish and she loves her Bruddy Brady- so either of these things can elicit a belly laugh almost any time! She's also pretty good at letting us know when she's mad too though. When she wants me to hold her and I'm not, she goes from 0 to 60 in no time at all and is in a full-on wail until she gets what she wants or gets distracted.

She crawls and gets around pretty well, but again she'll wail when she's tired or frustrated with it. She's starting to pull up on things, but I'm not sure she knows that she's doing it yet b/c it's usually just to get something or to see Brady. :)

She's added consonant sounds to her repertoire this month so there's some pretty cute babbling going on. Her one lonely little chicklet has a new friend next door- so now both her bottom two middle teeth are in. She eats three "meals" a day. I've been making all of her baby food. She usually has 2-3 food cubes mixed with 1/4-1/2 cup rice or oatmeal per meal. If she's still hungry she'll get another 2 cubes or so of fruit. Plus an all-she-can-eat buffet of Cheerios.

Just recently, Sylvie's fallen in love with her Daddy...and since she's 8 months now and more interactive, her love is reciprocated. lol! (Brett will be the first to tell you he doesn't love infants. He had told Sylvie early on, "Come see me when you're 8 months old- we'll have fun together then.") She lights up when her Daddy enters the room and greets her. She also flirts with him A Lot. It's adorable.
