15 on 15

Today (April 15) the little miss is 15 months old. All this time we've been describing Sylvie as "sweet Sylvie" and while I'd still use that description some of the time, I'd also add "sassy, spunky, saucy, and silly" to the list of descriptors for the Littlest Luhring. She still doesn't really talk...or at least use words in a way that we understand, but she does point and SHOUT, INSIST, and BARK at us to make her intentions known. We're hoping words come soon. :)

Receptively, her language is Amazing. I'm still often surprised to realize all the things she understands. I think b/c we were so intentional with Brady ("This is your mouth. These are your eyes. Point to your mouth.") that I knew what he knew. Sylvie learns a lot more by observation and osmosis :p b/c we are less intentional with her. While she does not have undivided attention, she does have lots of stimulation...and apparently learns a lot! :) She is able to follow multi-step directions ("go get the ball and kick it to Brady") and has quite a (receptive language) vocabulary.

Sylvie is a little copycat and does a Lot of whatever big bro is doing. It's very cute and can be very funny. Often times during meals, when she sees Brady with a utensil, she must have one too. She tried to self-feed, and is mildly successful. :p Her current favorite foods are Goldfish and raisins. We learned at her wellness appointment today that some of her molars are coming through. She still only has 3 (front) teeth on the bottom, and 4 on top.

Photos and stats from her wellness visit today:

Weight: 24 lbs. 10.5 oz. (78th percentile)
Height: 31.25 inches (76th percentile)
