Happy Birthday Sylvie! We are completely in love with our little princess. She is a Wonderful baby! I hope I'm not going to jinx us here. It is quite possible that we're still just in the baby honeymoon stage. Even if we are though, it will not change the fact that Sylvie is a blessing. She eats very well and has since she was an hour old. At her 4 day old doctor appointment on Monday, she weighed 8 lbs. 4.2 oz (75th percentile) and measured 20 inches (75th percentile). She sleeps well and has been doing 3-4 hour stretches consistently and on her own (we often had to hold baby Brady to keep him asleep). If you can describe the "personality" of a one-week-old, she seems to have a very sweet demeanor. She makes these little squeaky noises that sound like a toy that's been squeezed- just a little "eep!" sound. She does have her own little version of the "purple tera dactyl" made famous by her big brother. But she's more like a pink tera dactyl. I've really only seen it when she's starving or when she's naked and cold.
Our more relaxed approach to parenting this time around may be playing a factor, but it is also entirely truthful to say that Sylvie is just a good girl. Our family has definitely been blessed with her.
