Syvlie's School Visit

So Sylvie's been "visiting" Open Arms since she was 8 months old and we enrolled Brady.  We've often joked around and said she would run this school b/c she's so comfortable in all the classrooms playing (and being around all her "older siblings;" Brady's friends) while I chatted with my friends (the other parents and the teachers).  Well, we had an official visit today in Sylvie's new classroom.  She starts with Ms. Tina and Ms. Ashley (who were also Brady's teachers) on Monday.  When in Rome...sister insisted on wearing her jammies today too. (boo for phone picts!)  She was awesome!  I don't think she even needed this transition activity, but we all know that this change-resistant mama needed it!  She walked right in the classroom, hugs me, and goes, "bye Mommy!"  (Not two minutes earlier, Brady was clinging to my leg as we dropped him off in his classroom.)  I had to stay with Sylvie though since she's not yet enrolled.  But I tried to keep my distance and let her be and just supervised one of the center activities.  At one point she said to Ashley, "When my mom gonna go home?" HA!

We went to chapel (you know, b/c during Loser-In-Schools Week, the kids go every day).  Sylvie was So excited to see her big bro in school while she was with "her" class.  It was cute to watch her in chapel as she tried to sing along and do the signs.  (She's familiar with the songs b/c Brady sings them all the time.)  She just blended right in with the others. {Special thanks to Kristen, Colin's mom, who introduced Sylvie and Clara at the school's spirit night at Chik-Fil-A on Tuesday.  Having both Colin and Clara as her buds will make this even easier for Sylvie!}  At one point she did turn to Ms. Ashley and say, "What is he even talking about?!"  Yes, Sylvie I agree that the pastor should have brought the message to the level of his 5-and-under crowd!!  ;p

She was right there with her classmates having snack and praying. (In fact, she's probably known the "God Our Father" prayer longer than most of them! ha!
