A Party for Jesus

All of the kids in Brady's "older 2's" class are born between October and January. So they've been singing and celebrating a lot this fall and winter. Tomorrow they are celebrating a most special friend's birthday. Today we made edible mangers for Jesus' birthday party at Brady's school. :)

Brady made the pudding for the ground and crushed the shredded wheat to help me make the hay for baby Jesus' bed.

btw, this was the conversation we had the other night and I thought it was cute:
Mommy: "Brady who was the girl in the story?"
Brady: "Mary."
What did the angel tell Mary?
She was gonna have a little baby.
What was the baby's name?
Baby Jesus.
Where did Mary and Joseph go?
It's yucky. Animals go poopy.
Where is that place that is yucky and animals go poopy?
Stable.
Where did baby Jesus sleep?
(This was neat- he formed the "m" sound with his mouth and you could see his brain working to recall the new vocabulary word. I said, "You've got it. Tell me.") Manger.
