Picking Up and Taking Off

My mom usually drives when she comes to visit. This time she flew and arrived at National Airport. We never get to go to National b/c Dulles is so close to our house. But what a treat it was this morning! First off, the drive in was a super fun adventure! Then we are sitting in the Cell Phone Waiting Area of the airport watching the metro. Brady knew that we were there to pick up Mimi. He also knows that Mimi lives in Florida. The cutest question came from the back seat when he asked me in his sweet toddler voice, "Is this Florida?" I about died laughing! SO SO SO cute!

After we picked up Mimi, we stopped at Gravelly Point right next to the airport to watch the planes take off. OMG! It was SO much fun! TOTALLY awesome entertainment! Despite the yucky weather- drizzling rain and crazy wind, that made it a little uncomfortable for Sylvie, we All had So Much Fun watching the planes go right overhead. We are So going back. What a blast!

Like I said, the weather was not great. It was really windy- check out Sylvie's hair in the bottom left photo- it's a scream...LOL!
