Doing Disney

We went to Disney today.  The kids got the news just before they got dressed b/c for a little over $1/shirt, I made us matching Disney-wear.  :)
Almost as soon as we arrived, Papa's camera that he lent to us signaled low battery.  I swear, it's as if the universe was not going to allow this blogging mama to document one of the most picture-worthy family memories- oi vey!  Papa saved the day again by producing his (older) back-up camera.  Yay!
Upon entry in to Magic Kingdom, we happened upon one of the shows...and pretty much the Best one we could start off with- complete with Mickey and Minnie and ALL the princesses!  That's pretty much what we came here for.
 Little girl dream come true-
Sylvie recognized Rapunzel's tower immediately...weird though b/c it's not an attraction or anything, just a tower- but we wanted to document that we'd seen Rapunzel's house. ;p
Mouse ears are a must-have...how cute that they are so "personalized!"
Brady saw the R2D2 ones, and Had to have them!
Riding on Ariel's clam shell, Under The Sea!
Then we visited Belle's place.  Brady was chosen to play the part of Belle's daddy, Maurice, but he had a little stage fright.  His understudy was Daddy...who messed up his lines and made us all LOL!    Sylvie was cast as Babette, the maid-turned-feather duster, and was happy to do her part and make some friends. :)
Belle asking her (and our) daddy if he is doing okay in prison.
Cast members got hugs from Belle!
(i miss our camera!) :(
Then "the royal family" was introduced to Belle!
This was another of the moments that I genuinely missed our SLR.  I didn't get a good picture of everyone with their heads up when they met Belle.  :(
Everyone was looking in Mimi's pict, but it's a phone pict, so not too clear.
In the gift shop outside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Papa bought the kids some pirate figures in this gift shop...and then all they wanted to do was sit in their strollers and play with them. ha!  Several times they asked, "Can we go back to the vacation house now so we can play with our toys?" omg, we're at Disney!  lol!  {Although, if I'm being honest, Dutch Wonderland is where it's at for our kids at this age.  This DW was sort of a "check the box" experience.  It was fun, but honestly we have our "best days ever" @ the DW in PA!} ;p

Later in the day, we found a gift shop where you could make your own light saber.  I'm pretty sure Brett was the Most excited about this; Brady was a close second.  Sylvie went along with it (b/c if Brady was getting something, she was For Sure getting something, lol!)

We also got the free "first time visitor"buttons that I'd neglected to pick up when we came in.. But Sylvie saw the "Happily Ever After" (which was the "Just Married" button) with the Cinderella carriage and insisted on that one too.  It was sort of funny b/c the cast members are trained to see a certain button and respond appropriately.  (e.g., "Welcome!" when they see the "first time visitor" button; "Happy Anniversary!" when they see the buttons Brett and I wore...it was 2 weeks ago, but close enough)  Anyway, it was funny to see a few of them stumble for a minute when they'd see the button on Sylvie.  No, that is not the youngest bride you ever did see, folks. Little sister just loves all things princess-related!  ;p
We happened upon another parade...that was fun and energetic too!
