Croup Group
Brady woke himself up and scared us a little around 10:30 tonight with a cough that sounded like a seal barking. We cuddled with him and calmed him down. Then we called the pediatrician and Auntie Monica (of course!). Both were able to diagnose him with croup over the phone after hearing his seal impression. So we ran a hot shower and sat in the bathroom with him for 10 minutes. The steam really opened up his airway. We also bundled up and sat outside to breathe in the cool crisp January air. We both found it to be quite relaxing. Here we are sitting in the rocking chair- Brady in his jammies, snowsuit, and a blanket and me in my jammies and robe. haha! If you had seen us in the steamy bathroom, you would have caught a glimpse of my homemade towel turban donned in an effort to combat the effect of humidity on naturally-curly-but-flattened-straight hair. As he does with most hats, Brady smiled and grabbed for my cool headgear. :)
