Pooo-way!

Sylvie saw Brady's fruit gummy snacks and requested them too, "Gummy! 'nacks!" I replied, "No, Sylvie you must have some breakfast and milk first." and took her milk out of the fridge to hand to her. She points to her sippy cup and then to the fridge, pouts, and says to me, "Pooo-way!" I LOLed. That's the first time she's told me to "Put it away." It was funny and cute...but still didn't get her her gummy snacks. So then she stood in the pantry and cried without actually producing any tears. Then said, "Aw done!" when she turned the tantrum off.
btw, this has been one of our favorite things Sylvie's doing lately. She self-imposes "time away" to compose herself. I guess b/c she's seen us do it with Brady where we've told him, "This is a no crying/no whining zone. If you want to cry, go to the crying couch. When you've pulled it together and are all done, you may come back and join us." So in the past two weeks, when Sylvie bursts in to tears (at something she has deemed unjust) she runs away crying to a private spot...and then returns about a minute later with a clean face and says, "Aw done!" It is the CUTEST thing ever- first, to listen to her feet pad the floor and her crying echo as she runs away to compose herself and then to listen to her feet pad back and see a happy-faced little girl proclaim, "Aw done!"
love love love you sweet Sylvie!

She still didn't stop lobbying for the snacks though. "Weeeach! Baydee! pease!" as she fully extends and stands on her tiptoes to try to get to the third shelf in the pantry while appealing to her taller older brother. Brown-noser Brady says, "No, Sylvie I can't reach those either. Mommy said you hafta have breakfast and milk First." LOL!!! They crack.me.up.

Gummy snacks were forgotten when we headed out to school and Sylvie wanted the "yeash" (that's what she's saying here) to walk Romey. Okay, cutie-cake, that you can have. :)
