Choral Director Sylvie led us through rounds (literally!) of entertainment in the car rides whenever we were going somewhere. Papa rented a mini-van so all 7 of us were able to ride together every where we went. Sylvie began taking roll call during one of the car rides early in the week. She and I sat in the middle seats and she would go around the car and call for each family member to do something. One time it was to see who was happy. So she'd start,
"Mommy, happy?" "Yes, Sylvie." (and I'd ask her, "Sylvie happy?" and she'd say, "Ceebee happy.")
"Papa, happy?" "Yes, Sylvie."
"Gah-ma, happy?" "Yes, Sylvie."
"Mimi, happy?" (These ones were pretty cool b/c the last three were seated behind her and strapped in her car seat, she couldn't see them. But she always included them in her roll call game.) "Yes, Sylvie."
"Daddy, happy?" "Yes, Sylvie."
"Bay-dee, happy?" "Yes, Sylvie."
Another time it was to see who was sleeping- and everyone {including Papa who was driving} had to respond with a snore (hers was of course the most adorable thing followed by an even more adorable giggle!). Another time it was for everyone to say the word, "sushi" b/c she found that very funny. Yes, our little choral director amused not only herself, but her glee amused us all!
