Heroes Unite for a Birthday Adventure!

Here's the invitation we sent-
(Birthday) Seasons Greetings Friends!

To make it easier {and even more fun!} this holiday season, we're having a joint birthday party for Brady and Evan on Sunday, December 16.  Our plan is to start at the Pauleys' Palace, where our heroes will decorate their costumes, play games, and have lunch.  Then (weather-permitting) their mission will take them on a half-mile trek to the Luhrings' Lair, where our caped crusaders will continue to play games and have snacks + cake.  {Note: we may walk or drive over...your choice, but our houses are a half-mile apart.}

Please reply all (to Kristin and Tiffany) and let us know if you and your superhero(es) will come help save the day! Sibling sidekicks are welcome!

WHAT A BLAST this party was...both to plan b/c Kristin (Evan's mom) is super awesome and to attend b/c this age and this group of kids are Fantastic!
Brady woke up this morning and found the "Amazing Spider Web" where party-goers will find their goodie bags.  He thought it was pretty cool.  Kind of worked out that our new dining set delivery is delayed so that room is empty. ;p
As planned, the adventure began at the Pauleys' house.  Each superhero made a cape, mask, and wristcuffs and then created their own adventure (read: kids running around and wrestling, ha!).

Yes, they're 5 and goofy as ever!

Our heroes refueled with a super lunch of hot dogs, mac n cheese, popcorn, veggies, fruit, and Pow! punch (yeah, Ms. Kristin is pretty Awesome!)
She is one of the cutest sidekicks ever!
We didn't walk, but caravanned to our house next, where the adventure continued!
Wonder Twins! :p
Punch balls with villains on them- get those bad guys!

We had a "photo booth" where we took pictures of our superheroes for our thank you cards. Here's a sampling of these fun pix-
Brett took the "preschool photo booth" to the next level and added a sky to Brady's pict-
I took the buildings to the basement and was going to have the kids jump over them, until Mr. Dan had a great idea to enhance our second photo booth and make it more 3-D.  Another sampling of super fun fotos-
 Cupcake time!
"Happy Birthday to Brady and Evan!  Happy Birthday to You!!!"
Cupcakes + Lollipops = Super Birthday Treat!
Web game in effect.  Kind of hilarious in real life!
So now they have their goodie bags, with a few things in there, but let's really fill it!  Brady requested a pinata for his party.  I'm not sure how he even knows what they are since I don't think we've ever been to a party with a pinata, but I made him one.   Kristin and I were trying to shoot for "less sugar" options, but it took a lot to fill the box (which was homemade- one of our smaller moving boxes with villains on it).  The kids were instructed to use their super powers to attack the villains and access the candy.  But at the first swipe, the string Brett was using to hold it up broke.  haha!  So he just let the superheroes beat on the box until it split open.
omg! They were like vultures when that thing busted open.  SO funny!
Amazingly not one single injury among this dog pile!

It's another bad guy (aka Mr. Kevin)!  Get him!
To conclude the festivities, we had Santa Claus pay us a visit!  {You know, b/c that's how we roll!  ha!}  I'm kidding...it just so happened that our new neighborhood HOA-sponsored Santa visit coincided with the party!  whoohoo!  It was Totally awesome!  We were tricked by some carolers in the neighborhood and went outside a little too early.  But these awesome kids made the best of it.  SO cute- b/c the boys played football while the girls organized a musical parade.  lol!

Joy took some amazing photos and even thought to get our house in the background! yay! Santa's at our house!!!  :)
Balloon squishing for fun and to clean up-

Fam fotos to remember this fantastic fun day!
