Strawberry Festival

This Memorial Day weekend is a strawberry-filled one! We went to the Delaplane Strawberry Festival this morning. Unfortunately for Daddy, the weekend was also a work/proposal-filled one. boo. He stayed home, but the grandparents, the kids, and I had a good time at the festival. Doesn't Sylvie look cute in a theme-appropriate outfit from the Maya Collection?

Brady had a blast playing the kiddie carnival games. He liked throwing the baseball at the bottle pyramid just b/c it was fun to throw a ball to purposefully knock something down. He got a stamp for participation there. He also liked throwing the ping pong ball in to a bucket of prizes. He visited that one twice to get 2 mini dinosaurs. He won a cupcake for a random music chairs type of game.
For the first time, the kids had body paint. It was supposed to be face-painting. But #1, Brady's never been a fan of that and #2, when it's on their face, they can't see it. Brady got a football on his arm and Sylvie got balloons. They liked it- although these picture seem to indicate otherwise. :p

We took a break for lunch. The kids each had a smoothie. It was adorable to first see Sylvie drink hers as I held it for her; and second, to see them Both drink as I held them (you know, b/c Brady Had to do it "like Sylvie"). I'll tell you- the view I had was so darn cute!

They really are adorable and really do like to snuggle each other...most of the time. Brady kept hugging her, but by the time I started photographing the moment, it had turned in to more of an accidental headlock. whoops- too much love big bro!
Brady wanted to get in the stroller...but only b/c it was a single ride and Sylvie was in it. This, of course, bothered Sylvie. Finally I said, "Fine. I don't want to hear it. You're both getting in." So we created a redneck double stroller. ha! Sylvie loved it b/c she got to snuggle with Brady. Brady was fine with it for a few minutes and then it really worked out quite well. He could not handle it and asked to get out to walk with me. Problem solved. :)

The petting zoo portion was fun. Sylvie was loving this one cow. Brady would have been more in to it if we hadn't just bought kettle corn (which he tried for the first time- and Loved!). He preferred just hanging out with me and eating the kettle corn. That's cool, dude.
