Two Days On Sesame Street

Sesame Place was a fun park, but we spent a lot of time in the water so I don't have too many pictures. Brett and Brady played in this sand thing...I just had to take Sylvie away to find something else. I am not a sand-lover. ugh- his "sand angel-making" makes me cringe, but smile at the same time b/c clearly he loves it! :) Good thing we were hitting The Count's Splash Castle (pool) next!

Showing his Spidey tattoo-

We girls played in the toddler area and Sylvie was "merry going round" on her favorite ride three times in a row b/c there was no line. :)

This is one of those rare moments we never see- Sylvie actually keeping a hat on her head. It's a shame b/c I think she looks so cute and I really wanted her to wear a hat in the sun! The only reason it's staying on her head is b/c her hands are busy with her latest favorite thing- 'nacks (as she calls them) or fruit snacks. So I took a bunch of pictures to document this rarity.

Sylvie was cute and sort of got it. She Loved watching the shows. She was calling all the characters Elmo. It's very cute- in her sweet little voice with rising intonation she says, "Ehw-MO? Ehw-MO?" when she sees a furry character, but screams with surety "Ehw-mo! Ehw-mo!" when she sees the red guy and if you sing "la la la la, la la la la..." she says, "Ehw-mo ssss" and claps- finishing out the "Elmo's song" tune. She would seem totally fine with the characters one minute- stand right next to them, staring at them- and then the next, she'd burst in to tears. Daddy figured it out, "It's when she touches their fur or she thinks they are going to touch her." haha! It's true. We were posing for our picture with Big Bird and she was fine- looking at him. Then he pulls up his wing for the picture, the feathers touch her, and she bursts in to tears- just in time for the photographer to snap the pict. oh well. We did get a little better one with Elmo and that came free with our vacation package. The high-schooler working the photo desk was not adept in Photoshopping the green screen background, but it is what it is. :p

Oscar appears to be saying, "Come on kid! Gimme a break! I didn't even touch you!" Good thing Oscar the Grounch likes the sound of crying kids! :p

Here they are "on Sesame Street" (which is a song from the parade that is stuck in my head). The kids couldn't really appreciate this b/c we don't watch Sesame Street regularly, but it was fun for them to drive a fire truck anyway!

Brady and I played a whack-a-mole game and he won a frog, which I named "Hwog" which is how Sylvie says "frog." I love how she says it! Once in his possession, Hwog never left Brady's side- so he got to jump on Ernie's Bed Bounce with the kids and had a front row seat for the parade.

While Sylvie napped in the stroller, we watched the 2PM parade down Sesame Street. We also stayed for the night-time lights parade @ 8:30PM. Sylvie LOVED it- she clapped and ooo-ed and ah-ed and really got in to it...so cute!

Our hotel did airbrush tattoos outside the breakfast room each morning. This was the morning of day two and of course, Sylvie must be right.next.to.her.brother-

Daddy and daughter coloring before we left for the park. So sweet.

The second day we went to the other (water) side of the park that we really didn't see much of the first day. The boys rode the tube together a bunch of times. Our whole family rode a giant tube down pipes with a Big drop...it was a riot! I thought sweet Sylvie was going to eat through her life vest- she looked frightened but when asked if she wanted to go again, she said, "Yes!" :)

Daddy had been asking Brady to ride the roller coaster with him as soon as arrived on the first day. Brady finally obliged- as we were leaving on the second day...so it was the last thing they did. According to both boys, it was worth it. :)

Here's cutie-cake little sister waiting patiently with me while the boys ride on the "Vapor Trail" coaster.

Funny: Sylvie and I got in to this pool that was less than a foot deep all the way around- and it was really warm (compared to the other pool we just got out of). I said, "wow, this water is Hot!" and Sylvie goes, "Hot!" (and does her hand motion of stay away, hot...like we do when her food is hot and she bends over and blows on the water like she does when her food is hot. It made me LOL!)
