The (next) Greatest Show on Earth

Well, who knew that we'd get to go to the circus TWICE this year?! ;p  Sylvie's spring dance recital was circus-themed this year.  Her tap-dance routine was to "Who Let the Dogs Out?" and she was a circus dog.  Cutest little doggie I ever did see!

This was the opening number.  Sylvie stayed "in-character" the entire show, with her tongue hanging out like a doggie- ha!

She remembered to duck coming out of the doghouse...off to a good start, little pup!

She was a Trooper!  She listened all those times when Ms. Kristen said, "What happens if (insert example of something going wrong here; although "your shoe comes untied" was never a scenario presented)?  You just keep on dancing!"  When Sylvie switched from her ballet shoes to her tap shoes, they must not have tied the green ribbon in her shoe well and it came undone mid-dance.  I was SO panicked for her, worried that she would trip and fall and freak out.  But she did Awesome!  She definitely noticed and looked a little befuddled, but she did keep on dancing!  Way to go Little Star!!

 Here comes Jack, the dog catcher again! Run home, doggies!

The little girls are waiting in the wings for their cue for the finale, but Sylvie still did all the dance moves that the big girls were doing on stage. :)

Yup, tongue still out.  It's Syl's dance version of Michael Jordan.

 The show was smack-dab in the middle of nap time, 

as evidenced by this great big yawn during the finale. ha!

The show continued outside with an acrobatic ride to the car.

And then our tiny dancer passed out almost immediately on our ride home.  Great show, little girl, great show!  We are SO proud of you!
