Sylvie looks at me tonight after I'd taken her ponytail holder out and she'd pulled her dress off over her head, and I burst out laughing. Her hair was H-U-G-E!!! (these pictures do not do it justice) She goes, "What?" and I'm laughing so hard I could only point at her hair. She looks in the mirror and goes, "WHOA! What happened to my hay-uh???" Genetics, sister, genetics. You too shall not need hairspray when you attend a retro 80s event!

Minecraft with a Rock
The kids (and Brett) got some Minecraft tips from a pro this evening. The Rocks are in town for a weekend visit.
Happy 5th Birthday Emma!
We celebrated Emma's 5th birthday today. Sylvie chose a "fancy" dress. :)
Most awesome balloon art- Aeriel and Rapunzel (Emma had Elsa)!

The Blended Fam
I asked for Sylvie's help when picking FL souvenirs for the Morels. She insisted on "Princess 1 and 2" shirts for her and Bella and "Bro 1 and 2" shirts for Brady and Hayes. The concept was completely lost on her...but when our blended family is all together, you get the idea. Today we went to Mill Run's softball game, and we're only missing Hayes here-

Tooth Fairy Dust
Okay, so he's off to school with four holes in his mouth. yikes! He did great last night...a little discomfort right after the visit. But he seems fine now. Although, I am bringing him soft mac and cheese and a smoothie for lunch today. :)
That's fairy dust from a little someone's visit last night. He must have rolled in it...and so he's a bit shiny at school today! ha!
Brett thought the Tooth Fairy's payout was exorbitant. (This is her first visit to our house.) She gave him $44...$1/tooth and an additional $10 for the first tooth (and in his case first tEEth)! After watching this awful procedure and knowing the pain afterward, I wanted to give him like $100 for pain and suffering! Seriously! Brett was all, "$44 is a ridiculous amount of money for a 6 year old" and I was like, "FOUR is a ridiculous amount of extractions and did you see the size of those things?!"

First (FOUR) Teeth Out
Brady lost his first tooth yesterday...and his second...and his third...and his fourth! This kid is a trooper! We went to the dentist for a routine cleaning yesterday (and to have them look at his "shark teeth." He has two permanent teeth growing in behind his bottom baby teeth.) They extracted all FOUR bottom center teeth to allow room for the big guys to come forward. OMG, it was awful for this mama to watch! But boy oh boy, what a brave little man! I cried and my heart broke...he watched the movie Epic (for the 30th time) and kind of twitched a bit going, "ooo, oww" but otherwise did freaking Awesome as they yanked these four baby teeth from his little jaw. Crazy rite of passage for this incredible kid!
FOUR HOLES where those stubborn baby teeth were!
Way longer than I thought...and explains the yanking I witnessed at the dentist's office. (shudder). I'm told these long roots mean that these teeth were not coming out any time soon!

Pick-up Flag Football
After celebrating Jake's 6th birthday @ the indoor swimming pool, the boys took advantage of this awesome weather and played a pick-up game of flag football in the yard. Such good boys- love them! (You can see Brady talking to Kedric about the hand-off, much like Greg was doing in flag football practice.)

Let the Show Begin
Someone clearly paid attention while attending the shows @ Disney. Tonight this was Sylvie's "intro to her performance." She says, "Ladies and gentlemen, my show is starting soon. You can take camera pictures or phone pictures when my show is on, but NO FLASH. Video is ok too, but No flash bc it can mess me up and I will ask you to leave the show. I will be opening the doors soon." ha! She's well worth the cost of admission!

Grandparents' Day
For the first time in four years, we didn't spend Grandparents Day @ King's Dominion. (Brett returns from Ohio where he watched the Hokie game...and he forgot to reserve his employee KD tix.) So we're rounded up @ the Golden Coral! ;p Brady's still please with his photo-bombing.
