We had an impromptu pizza picnic at the park tonight with a few school friends. It started out with just us and Mimi who is visiting- yay! Then Colton (and mom Melissa) and Bella (and dad Kevin) joined us. I didn't take any really good picts...we were all having too much fun!

Night Out
Brett and I received a high score on the cool-o-meter (Brett has a theory on that...ask him to explain it to you!) tonight and partied with some of his "young" friends to celebrate Christian's 30th birthday. Quick pict before heading out-
On Top of Spaghetti
We went to Brady's school for a charity silent auction and spaghetti dinner this evening. I always love to see Brady playing with his pals. Tonight I was glad that Daddy, Grandma, and Papa were also able to observe this firsthand...the kids did not disappoint! Their love for each other was most evident. After dinner there was a concert where the preschool kids sang Love Grows and On Top of Spaghetti. Brady, who was So shy and reserved and "wanting Mommy" during the LSW week performance, was a completely different kid this evening. With one of his best friends (Colton) by his side, he had all the confidence in the world and was a silly singing sensation, or spazz, depending on who you ask. :p
At first I began taking stills, but I'm grateful I switched to video. Here the kids are "catching a bubble" (the music teacher's attempt to get them ready and keep them quiet) and showing their eyes to indicate they're paying attention.
Brady has small moments of slight embarrassment where he hides behind Colton, but he's the one you can hear the loudest and the only one who is jumping around the entire time. You're fun, little dude, 100% fun!
After dinner and The show, the entertainment continued outside with the "Throwing Shoe Game" (they came up with the game and name- can you tell?), chase, and lots of preschool humor. It truly was a blast to see them having such a good time!
Haylie and Brady finished the night with a game of steamroller. I'm pretty sure there was full-on laughing for at least 7 minutes straight.

Party (with) Animals
We celebrated Kadyn's 4th birthday at the Reston Zoo this morning. We've never been before. It was a great place that (today) was filled with some great friends! Happy Birthday KK!
I love Sylvie's excited point!

Bicycle Built for Three
Found these picts on my phone...I swear blogging is getting out of control with pictures from our "old" camera, "new" camera, Papa's camera, and my iPhone. So many memories, so little time! :p
Today Daddy was actually home near daycare pick-up time. He met us while we were walking home. The stroller and I were immediately abandoned for the cooler ride Daddy brought along. Sylvie (who Brett reported freaked out on the bike seat when she first tried it out this past weekend) asked for a ride in the trailer by saying, "hat hat" and patting her head for her helmet and then climbing in the trailer. :)

Aways-ville
Danisa, Jenny, Coco, and I enjoyed a moms' weekend away in Charlottesville. It was just us girls. This was my first time leaving Sylvie and only my third time leaving Brady (the other two times were when I met my nephew and when I was in the hospital for Sylvie's birth day). We stayed at this cute bed and breakfast- and had the whole house to ourselves (along with our host Flip and her fun dog Emma, who joined us in one of the pictures below). I love these women...we had a wonderful weekend laughing, eating, and relaxing.

They Both Scream for Ice Cream
The kids and I walked to Baskin Robbins for a special treat tonight. Again, hilarity ensued. I should have taken more video- of Sylvie jumping out of the stroller with excitement, of Brady enjoying every last bit...of his, Sylvie's, And my ice cream. :) Love them!

Downward-facing Piggies
Today Sylvie came home with lower pigtails (they're usually pretty high up on her head). She looked like a little big girl. so so so cute!

Trash Talkers Stalkers
As we walked home from daycare pick-up today, we noticed all of the trash trucks gassing up. Both Brady And Sylvie begged to stay and watch them. So I parked the stroller under a shady tree and we stalked the trash men for a good 15 minutes or so. A few of the trash men looked up and laughed and waved at their fans.

In His Own Words
The bulletin board outside Brady's classroom had these displayed on it the day I went in for Muffins with Mom. I laughed so hard I was crying reading them all- but especially Brady's. :) I swear, he is constantly saying, "Mommy you could be a princess." b/c in his mind princesses are beautiful. He's a construction kid at heart though. You'll notice a theme here- of all the fun things we do together, one of his favs is when we play construction and I show him buildings; and apparently I'm as pretty as a...wait for it...building. :)
In case you cannot read all his answers in the picture, here's how he filled in the blanks when Miss Tina and Miss Ashley asked him about his mommy:
My Mom's name is Tiffany.
She is special because she makes me treats! She is also very good!
I like it when my Mom plays construction with me! She also shows me buildings!
My Mom can do many things! I think she's best at...making a yummy breakfast!
My Mom has a pretty smile! I like to make her smile by...playing nicely with my sister!
My Mom is as pretty as a...building.
My Mom is smart! She even knows...how to cook breakfast!
I'd like to tell my Mom...about my day! I was good! I love mommy!

Happy Mother's Day
Well it didn't start out too happy...I got a stomach bug for Mother's Day. Boo! I had to miss out on Mother's Day breakfast with Grandma and Papa b/c the thought of food (and the thought of smelling food) made me more ill. Although many moms hope for a day off, time to themselves, rest time, etc. for Mother's Day, it's not at all how I wanted to spend my day. I wanted to be with my family- and missed them all very much. :( I was finally able to (sort of) pull myself together after PM naps. The first thing I asked for was a picture with my babies. They complied and made me happy!
The homemade gifts the kids made in daycare melted my heart. Love, love, love them!
We went for a walk/ride (Daddy and Brady rode the bike; Sylvie rode in the stroller while I hobbled behind it; Romey walked) to Brady's new favorite place: a new-home construction site up the road. Brady played on the mounds of dirt the entire time. This was my and Sylvie's first visit- and she was a Riot!
Brett was eating pistachios and throwing the shells on the ground. When Sylvie made it over there and noticed the mess, she "policed his shells."
I swear she picked up every.single.shell on the ground. It was so freakin' adorable- little Syl Syl squatting in her mini skirt and rain boots (that she insisted on, pointing and saying "boo! boo!" repeatedly, b/c Brady wore his b/c "the construction guy needs his special construction boots Mommy"). She really was thrilled with her work...she had the squealy sounds and the smile behind the paci going the entire time. oh, I want to squeeeeeeeze her! Of course, I took a million pictures of the cuteness.
It was an exhausting job. When I looked down on the way home, this was my view. How cute are those little legs just chillin' and that little hand resting on her milk?!
