Oh, how I love kid writing!
Santa wrote them back...and his response went along perfectly with our plans to make some cookies tomorrow! ;p"We write (blog) to taste life twice...once in the moment and in retrospection." -(adapted from) Anais Nin

A Different Letter to Santa
Brady has Amazing penmanship for a first-grader, or really for anyone! He's all about writing...he loves the process and loves to make it look nice. So tonight he wanted to write a letter to Santa asking him to release Gingerbear's magic in order to continue the new tradition we started last year. Sylvie likes to do whatever big bro is doing, so she went along with it-

7 years old
Happy 7th Birthday Brady! This year Brady is in the first grade, going to school all day long (from 7:50-2:35). He then goes to Golden Pond School for after-care. He does very well in school- he's an excellent writer, easily grasps new concepts, and is a great citizen. He makes us so proud!
Brady still loves sports. He played soccer And flag football (for the first time- loved it!) this fall and joined the swim team for the first time this summer. He's also still in to Star Wars, Legos, and especially electronic games on the Wii (like Madden football, and Wii sports) and iPad (Minecraft and Clash of Clans).
Weight: 52 lbs (57th percentile)
Height: 48.75 inches (64th percentile)

Happy Birthday (Party) Brady!
December 20 is a Saturday this year, so Brady got to celebrate with his friends on his actual birthday. After going to sports card show with Daddy this morning, the boys met us at Sylvie's dance recital. Afterward, we had a quick lunch, and then headed to Bazooka Ball Sports, where Brady's party was from 3-5 PM. This was our first time renting a place and letting them take care of the whole party and it worked out great! :) It's exactly what I needed b/c this day was jam-packed, and it's exactly what Brady wanted! AWESOME!
Jerel, Colton, Bella, Haylie, Allie, Jake, Evan, Nathan, Noah (and Kedric + Kaden, who aren't in this photo)...thanks for celebrating our big SEVEN year old!
Even little sis played...although I'm really not sure why they said she didn't need a vest. In the second game (where I actually played too!) she got pelted and was Done. :(
Get 'em Birthday Boy!
In between Bazooka Ball games, they played video games (of course!), climbed the wall, and jumped on the trampolines.
The "7-year old party uniform" ($2 shirts that were only available in kids' sizes) ha!
Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!
She got to the top and rang the bell...and yanked it right out! HA!
How The Grinch Stole Christmas Recital
She was fabulous, per usual. Love this spunky little girl!
We added a little Who eyelashes!
Emma and Sylvie- BFFs!
oh yes, she Rocked her Box Step...she practiced this one and is super proud (as am I)!
