I went upstairs today after the kids went to school and literally
laughed out loud. It's super fun having a little boy in the house.
Brady set up his guys (yes, the "Dallas cowboys and am-beeyou-lance"). These pictures don't do it justice, but the scene
just squeezed my heart and made me smile. :)

Brilliant Idea, Brilliant Ikea
We went to Ikea this afternoon to pick up a few things we need for the basement. On the drive up we leveraged Chad's ingenuity and made our very own "in-car tv" by shoving the iPad through the moonroof. Seriously- West VA creativity at it's Finest, folks! Brilliant Chad Pauley, Brilliant!!!
(Their faces don't reflect it, but they loved it...and so did we up front who didn't have to hear any whining.)
It's been a while since we've been to Ikea...I'd forgotten how much I like it. Their products and designs are pretty great; their food its good and Cheap!; and the "entertainment" for kids is unparalleled. I'm not even talking about Small-land, the play area we couldn't get in to b/c it was so crowded. It's amazing how entertaining super rolly carts that can spin 360s with ease are and how fascinating paper measuring tapes, golf pencils, and a brochure with lines on it can be for preschoolers! Necessary home shopping errand turned playground. Score for the entire family!

Little b, Big B
"Brady and Brett start with B!" Sure, it's a couple more weeks until "Dr. Seuss's birthday" but my B's were matching today and it was cute. Brady often wants to match his Daddy and today was no exception.
Of course, little sister wanted in on the picture-taking action! She's cute, so they let her, of course!

Happy 4th Birthday "Jill-la-lon!"
Sylvie and I went out to Purcellville today for Jillian's birthday party. Jillian is one of Sylvie's BFFs from Ms. Omayma's and she was very excited to see her girlfriends again. She was also excited to "wear my pretty dress from Mimi and my dance shoes from Mimi."
It was an awesome party. Theresa (Jillian's mom) said, "This is not a Pinterest party. It's just a regular old birthday party with her best pals!" Balloons, cupcakes, pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, and just playing. Perfect!

Disney on Ice!
Fam fotos before we head to DC to see Disney on Ice!
My fav fam foto!
We're pretending to ice skate and saying, "We're going to Disney on Ice!!!"
Waiting for the train...Sylvie's first metro ride!
Accepting Daddy's challenge to balance and stand w/o holding on-
After the show we went to The Greene Turtle for dessert. The boys shared a treat with peanuts in it and we girls had a cookie and ice cream sundae. Yumm!
Sister made herself at home on the metro ride home- feet up, just chilling!
