After the school and pool party, Grandma and Papa got the kids ready for bed and Brett and I met the Burkes, O'shags, and Blairs (BLOB) at the Parallel Wine Bar for a parents' night out (PNO).

School and Pool Party
Today was Brady's last day as a Sweet Pea. Beginning on Monday, he'll be in the Poppies class. Parents were invited to their after-school party to hang out and watch the kids perform some of their favorite songs. We heard the kids sing and watched them sign "I'm going on a bear hunt" and also did the "Tuttie Tata" with them- hilarious! We attempted a class photo, but it's Really hard to get 15 three-year-olds with sugar highs to all cooperate. :p
Afterward, a few families met up at our pool to burn some more sugar off and have a pizza party dinner. I didn't get many pictures b/c Tiffany D. and I were running around getting food and drinks most of the time. At their poolside dinner table, Brady led his pals in the Sweet Peas grace (the God our Father, Once again, We will ask your blessing, Amen song)- so, so, so cute.
Front row (L-R): Brady, Brendan, Colton, Jenny, Amelia, Wesley
Back row (L-R): Tyler, Ms. Tina, Ainsley, Addison, Emily, Cici, Riley, Kaylie, Miss Ashley, Haylie, Evan

Snug Bugs
Brady and Sylvie were snuggling and sitting together so sweetly after baths tonight watching "Doya!" (as Sylvie calls Dora). It was just too cute.
Continued Construction
Sylvie slept in today (like past 9 AM!), and I think Brady would have too if I hadn't woke him up to see the construction work continued right outside our house. So the two of us again had a front row seat for the entertainment while we ate breakfast on the porch on this beautiful fall-like morning. :)
Brady was late to school again this morning, so we had AM snack at home. He said, "Do the worker guys need a snack?" "Yes buddy, I think they do." I applauded his thoughtfulness and we made cookies (just the ready-made, scoop out of tub kind) and delivered them to the workers on our way to school this morning. That was fun too.

Happy Birthday Mommy!
What a super fun birthday this has been! I'm going to repeat my Facebook statuses (I never post to FB, but it was a great day!) here-
FB status: Thanks for all the birthday wishes and suggestions of doing something fun with the fam. We started the day off doing just that- thanks to sidewalk replacement in our neighborhood. Honestly, it was entertaining for us ALL! Of course the entertainment came at the cost of Sylvie missing her hot breakfast at daycare, Brady missing part of a puppet show at school, and me missing a conference call…but it was worth it- SO fun (even if the construction workers think we’re weird). :)
Later that afternoon, while I was on another conference call I felt and heard the house shake a little bit. I figured it was the construction workers outside until everyone on my conference call (from various places around here) kept saying, "Did you feel that?! I think that was an earthquake!" I went outside and the neighbors were all out and the construction workers had their hands up in the air saying, "That wasn't us!" How cool is that?! Thanks God for the super cool birthday present (5.9 on the Richter)!
Still the best.presents.EVER
I love ice cream cake and a couple years ago, Carvel started making a football cake and putting it out around this time. It's awesome- with crunchies all over it. Yumm, it's my birthday dessert tradition.
For both our birthdays, Sylvie gave us our full names. :) Just this week (in one day actually) she switched from Dada and Mama to Daddy and Mommy. They're both sweet sounds- love it!

FB status: Turning 35 totally shook me up. It's rocking my world...wait, no it's not, it just caused my house to tremble for few seconds. oh, and apparently most of my East Coast neighbors were also shook up to hear I'm 35 today. haha! What an awesome birthday! :)

Trailside Park
We met Brady's school pals, Wesley and Cameron, and their families at Trailside Park this morning. We've never been to this park before...and I don't know why- it's totally awesome! Graeme (Cam's dad) brought hockey sticks and a puck and I think if they weren't melting in the hot sun, that Brady could've stayed on the blacktop rink all day long. I didn't take many pictures b/c I was too busy chatting with Liz and Tiffany (Wesley and Cam's moms).

Happy 1st Birthday Lilly!
So we're finally home for a weekend- ah, nice. This afternoon, we went to a pool party in honor of sweet Lilly's 1st birthday. What a fun time! I didn't take any water pictures b/c we were too busy playing. Here are a few from dinner. Coco made these cute little crust-less sandwiches for the kids. But Brady chose the giant hoagie ones she had for the adults...and he ate the whole thing- lol!
Many of Coco's relatives commented on the how alike Sylvie and Lilly look. Their baby pictures are Really similar...now they are both ONE- crazy! They could still pass for cousins.

Toy Bubble Bath
The kids were playing with the water table while I was making dinner tonight. The toys were pretty grubby from sitting outside. So I added some dish soap to the water and told them to wash the toys. Why have I not thought of this sooner? The toys and table got clean and the kids thought the bubble bath was a hilarious good time. double yay! Yay yay!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
We all went out to Sweetwater for dinner to celebrate Daddy's birthday tonight.
ghetto green and creative! this year, and reused the "3" candle from Brady's birthday and then put single candles on the five remaining cupcakes to make "35" for Daddy's birthday dessert. :)
And good thing we did push for birthday dessert, b/c someone else would have been sorely disappointed and we would have been robbed of some quality entertainment. o.m.g.- Sylvie for sure has my genes...sister loves her some sweets!!! :)
Lemonhead
Last night when Brady and I were making Daddy's birthday card, Brady was very excited, "Can we eat cupcakes now?" "NOW, can we eat birthday cupcakes???" he kept asking me. So when I told Brett my dessert plans of Coldstone cupcakes for his birthday and he said, "No thanks. I don't want any birthday dessert." I had to remind him that his birthday is no longer all about him. "Sorry dude, but your son is super excited for your birthday b/c 'you eat cupcakes (or cake) when it's someone's birthday.' So, you're getting birthday dessert- if not for you, for them!" I went And good thing we did push for birthday dessert, b/c someone else would have been sorely disappointed and we would have been robbed of some quality entertainment. o.m.g.- Sylvie for sure has my genes...sister loves her some sweets!!! :)
