A "Kirk Thing"

Brett shook his head and said it must be a "Kirk thing" when I insisted on taking a family picture this morning before Aiyee, Cue, and Meemaw left. Well I didn't plan to take a group shot at this early hour with my and Brady's puffy faces and jammies. But we got home late from KK's party last night and Aiyee and Cue had just gotten to our house again passing through on their way home following their baby shower in PA. So here we are- puffy faces, jammies, and all. :p The next family picture we take will most probably have another little boy in the picture instead of in his mommy's belly! Yippee!
After everybody left this morning (including Daddy who went to the driving range with the boys), Brady and I sat on the porch in our jammies. Brady entertained his dog by making bubbles for him to chase. Both boys had a laughing and tail-wagging good time!

Happy 2nd Birthday KK!

We had a great time at Kadyn's 2nd birthday party today! Brady immediately went towards KK's new ride and took it for a test drive.
Here Uncle Mehul is saying, "Son, what's it going to take to get you in this car and have you drive it off the lot today?" In response to Brady's blank stare, Uncle Mehul said, "You drive a hard bargain sir. I'll have to talk to my manager." ;p
The kids played outside with Kadyn's new water table. The amount of fun Brady had was measured by the saturation of his shirt and shorts...suffice to say, he had a LOT of fun! :p

Then they got to have pizza and rainbow goldfish at their very own kiddie table. Adorable!

Belly Laughs

Aiyee and Cue arrived yesterday evening and stayed the night en route to one of Aiyee's baby showers in Pennsylvania. Meemaw made Brady look like Aiyee (who is almost 7 months pregnant and looks as cute as can be!) by sticking his soccer ball under his shirt. It made for some good giggles. :)

Another partly rainy day

No worries...still donning the froggie boots and playing outside:

And practicing self feeding. Uh, we're still working on that. Brady's latest meal time trick is to shampoo his hair with his food. He'll take whatever he's having and rub it in to his head- Cheerios, cheese, strawberries, and today- pancakes and a fruit cup. Meemaw had to give him an extra bath after lunch.

The Frog Prince

Brady's choosing to wear his froggie boots these days. He says, "Boot! Boot!" and brings them to Meemaw to put on so they can go walk Romey.

Cheeese Pizza!

Like most kids, Brady Loves pizza. He was quite pleased at dinner tonight, where he ate an entire slice. He just kept smiling...his cheesy smile, which turned even cheesier (and had vocal accompaniment "Cheeese!") when I took out the camera. There are many pictures posted here because he just kept doing the cheesy smile (this was over several minutes time) and it makes me laugh looking at them. So cute, so happy, so cheesy! :p

Rain, Rain Don't Go Away

Because while you're here, these adorable boots come out again! What a fun way to enjoy these wet days!

Most of the day was spent inside though. Meemaw and Brady did water-color for the first time. Remember those funny painting books that you just add water to and "paint?" So fun!

This is Brady's new favorite position. He's always laying on his belly- when he's on the floor, on the couch...he even does it in the bathtub as the water is draining out. I love it! He looks like a "little big kid." :p

Just Like Me (Maw)

Meemaw returned from her NY visit on Thursday. Brady's been having lots of fun with her. Here he trying to be just like her reading the newspaper:

I had to pre-occupy the Ladies Man (this one is the brown version that Meemaw got for him) while Daddy and Meemaw painted because he was just too curious and wanted to be too close. So we went for a walk and played baww! in the grass.

Sing us a song, you're the Piano Man!

Brady's enjoying his new toy piano, a fun hand-me-down from a friend. These pictures are from the past two days- Friday and Saturday (hence the wardrobe changes of our little entertainer). We thought it was cute how he intuitively knew to use his fingers to play the keys.

He strongly encouraged crowd participation...
"You there, come on...don't be shy!"

He also tried out the drum set. Aside from the headphones with the microphone, he just wasn't that in to it though. So we gave it away to another friend. Rock on!
