Posing with Aiyee
A self portrait of all six of us...even with Cue's super long arms, we thought "No way is he going to get us all in here." But sure enough, he did!"We write (blog) to taste life twice...once in the moment and in retrospection." -(adapted from) Anais Nin

Cue's picts
I've decided to differentiate Brady's Aunt Kris and Uncle Joshua. We are calling Aunt Kris "Aiyee" which is "my mom's older sister" in Chinese. "Cue" is "uncle." Of course, the phonetic spelling is all mine- haha! Although, I also liked Grandma Luhring's name for Uncle Joshua. Given his 6'4" height, she kept calling him Uncle Giant. :) These pictures were all taken by Uncle Giant- thanks Cue!

Twas the day before Christmas
and all through our home,
two little creatures were stirring-
one who rolls, one who roams.
one who rolls, one who roams.
We had a great time when Eashan, Sat, and Vik came over for a visit today. Roly Poly E showed us his horizontal traveling method and Brady showed them what a pro walker he's become. It was so fun to have all the boys (big and little) and us girls together again. Love you Abrahams!

These are a few of his favorite things
The "theme" for Brady's one year old birthday was his favorite things. At this point in time, that means Cheerios and balls. So I attempted to make a ball cake and cupcakes and cookies shaped like Cheerios.
Earlier in the day, Brady climbed in to his chair (which we have decided to keep because he loves it so much!). He looked like a king on his throne. So we had him open some birthday gifts.

I'm ready...bring on the presents!
We used to make these cookies with my mom when I was little. You can make them in to any shape and they taste like a sweet biscuit. They were the perfect treat for our teething little man. It was the first thing Brady noticed on the table...he went straight for the giant Cheerio looking thing, put it in his mouth, and never put it down. :)We had to coax him to try the cake. He didn't have much of a reaction to the taste of the icing, but seemed to really enjoy finger painting with it on the table.
Like Father...
What would a king on his throne be without his very own castle? We got him this blow-up bouncer because the boy Loves to jump and he Loves balls. I don't know what I was thinking when I decided we should pump it up...in the middle of the family room. But we had some giggles while we were assembling it and Brady has lots of giggles being the king of his castle.
